Suite Stella

The Stella Suite offers an elegant, soothing space designed for a stay for two on the historic heights of Lyon.

The Suite's design is inspired by the night sky, with a mirrored artwork evoking a subtle constellation, soft lighting and an atmosphere conducive to rest and switching off.

The ultra-comfortable, French-made king-size MiNuit bed is complemented by a dining or work area, so you can enjoy your stay at your own pace, whether for a weekend or a business trip.

The bathroom features a bathtub and a separate shower, in an understated, contemporary setting.

Air conditioning, home automation, high-speed Wi-Fi, a Nespresso machine, Palais des Thés teas and a few sweet treats round off the experience with simplicity and comfort.

Located on the first floor with no lift, Stella is ideal for guests seeking a calm atmosphere slightly away from the city centre.

You can arrive completely independently, thanks to a secure code-based access system.

After booking, you will receive an online check-in form. Once it has been completed, your access codes and all the information you need for your stay will be sent to you before your arrival.

Check-in is available from 5 pm, and check-out is until noon.

Subject to availability, early check-in or late check-out can be booked at an additional charge to extend your experience.

A luggage room is also available free of charge to make your stay easier.

Here, you are staying on the Montée du Gourguillon, one of the best-known historic streets in Lyon.

The neighbourhood offers a calm, residential atmosphere, far from the bustle of the city centre, while remaining close to Vieux Lyon and the Roman theatres.

With its cobblestones, steps and old façades, the Gourguillon retains a singular, authentic charm.

— Access on foot:

From Vieux Lyon, take the F1 funicular towards “Saint-Just” from “Vieux Lyon Cathédrale Saint-Jean” station.

Get off at the “Minimes – Théâtres Romains” stop, then stroll down the Montée du Gourguillon to number 46 (about a 5-minute downhill walk).

— Access by car:

We strongly recommend parking on rue des Farges, at the top of the hill, so you can easily reach the Suite by walking down.

— Important:

The Montée du Gourguillon is a very steep, cobbled historic street. This Suite is not recommended for guests with reduced mobility, travellers with heavy suitcases or those looking for immediate access to the city centre.

— Train station:

• Lyon Perrache station approximately 15 minutes by car

• Part-Dieu station approximately 25 minutes by car

The Stella Suite is one of 8 Suites within the Hôtel du Gourguillon.

As the building is located in the historic heights of Lyon, access can be physically demanding, so please take the layout of the neighbourhood into account before booking.

To preserve the peace and quiet of the premises, parties and gatherings are strictly prohibited.

Pets are not allowed and all Suites are strictly non-smoking.

We recommend ordering your breakfast, meals, aperitif platter or romantic extras in advance so you can make the most of your stay.
