Suite Médaillon

Médaillon plays with the eras without ever erasing the soul of the place.

Beneath a majestic period tapestry lies a MiNuit king-size bed, in an intimate and enveloping atmosphere. Fully open to the bedroom, the bathroom is part of the décor, with its walk-in shower enhanced by a reinterpreted stained-glass window.

Air conditioning, a Nespresso machine, Palais des Thés teas and Refyld toiletries complete the experience.

When you arrive, everything is ready: bed linen and towels are provided and carefully set out.

The Suite has neither a kitchen nor a sink.

Your stay begins in complete freedom.

After your online check-in, you receive your personal code and all the information you need to access your Suite completely independently.

Check-in from 5 pm and check-out until noon. Early check-in and late check-out are available at an extra charge, subject to availability.

A locker is also available for storing your luggage before you check in or after you check out, so you can carry on exploring Pérouges hands-free.

You will be staying in the heart of Pérouges, a medieval town listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France and voted France's Favourite Village.

Beyond the ramparts, everything is explored on foot. Cobbled lanes, old façades, little squares, artisans and restaurants form a setting that seems to have stood still through the centuries.

Once the day visitors have left, Pérouges reveals another atmosphere, quieter and almost suspended in time.

Depending on the season and the day of the week, some restaurants and shops may be closed. We recommend booking your table in advance or bringing something for dinner in your Suite.

Pérouges is an entirely pedestrian town: vehicles can neither drive nor park inside the village.

When you arrive, you can briefly drop off your luggage near the church, then park your vehicle in visitor car parks P1 or P2, located just below.

Lyon is around 35 to 40 minutes away by car, and Meximieux–Pérouges station around 10 minutes.

The Grenier à Sel is much more than an address: it is a historic building fully restored and reinterpreted by the architect Audrey Marianne.

More than a year of work was needed to preserve its character, its materials and its period features while bringing in contemporary comfort. Its irregularities and quirks have been deliberately kept: they tell the story of the place.

This authenticity means, in particular, that sound insulation differs from that of a modern building. Footsteps, running water or sounds from neighbouring Suites may occasionally be heard.

The Grenier à Sel is home to 6 MiHotel Suites, each conceived with its own identity. The entire property can be booked for exclusive use on request.

Pets are not allowed. The Suites are non-smoking, and parties and gatherings are not permitted.

A breakfast prepared by a partner restaurateur in the town can also be booked before your stay.
